App Icon
Custom app icon configuration for universal apps. Replace the default icons with your branded app icons for a professional appearance in device launchers and app stores on both Android and iOS platforms.
Configuration
App icons are automatically detected and applied when placed in the correct location. No additional configuration is required in your app settings.
Android Icon Setup
File Location
Place your Android launcher icons inside public/android/appIcons.
Each density-specific file must follow the naming pattern icon-{density}.{ext} where {density} is one of:
| Density | Filename | Recommended Size (px) |
|---|---|---|
mdpi | icon-mdpi.png | 48 x 48 |
hdpi | icon-hdpi.png | 72 x 72 |
xhdpi | icon-xhdpi.png | 96 x 96 |
xxhdpi | icon-xxhdpi.png | 144 x 144 |
xxxhdpi | icon-xxxhdpi.png | 192 x 192 |
You can provide any subset of these files; the build will automatically consume every matching icon it finds.

If no custom icons are present, Catalyst falls back to the bundled default icon so your project continues to build.
